What they look at when they price hair

Price is built from several signs at once. One good length does not cover chemistry, and thick short hair is not equal to thin but very long hair.

A quote is not a feeling “nice hair”. It is a set of measurable things: how many centimetres will actually be cut, how many grams remain dry, how even the colour is, whether the fibre is whole.

Length of the cut, not the hairstyle

Longer hair is more expensive because a longer product can be made from it. Cutting “another five centimetres shorter because that is fashionable” is already a different price shelf. When it is worth waiting — in what to change in six months.

Weight without a “beauty comb-out”

Volos Store says hair is not combed out or trimmed “for a nicer number” before weighing. If a buyer works the other way, you learn it after the scissors. How not to agree to that — in the honest deal checklist.

Colour and chemistry

Untreated light hair is usually at the top of the corridor. One-colour dye is reviewed, not automatically equal to natural. Keratin, bleach, henna, extensions are a different conversation — often a refusal. Details: dyed and curly hair.

Condition

Care in the weeks before the cut changes this point, it does not magically add centimetres. The practical minimum is in preparing for the cut.

What to send

Send several photos: loose, gathered, with a ruler from the future cut. If the ponytail is already cut — on a table with a tape and separately on scales. How to frame that shot — in the measuring guide.

The payout corridor and the gap between a forecast and money on the card: how much you can get for hair.

To get a range for your own hair, send photos through the contacts on the homepage or leave a request there. Short answers to typical questions are in the FAQ.
